2상유동 연구실은 매크로/마이크로 및 나노 스케일에서의 2상유동 및 상변화 열전달 현상을 실험 및 모델링 해석을 통하여 연구하고 있다. 이밖에도 원자로 중대사고시 원자로 내부에서 일어나는 현상에 대한 실험 및 수치 해석적 연구, 차세대 원자로인 4세대 SFR (Sodium Fast Reactor)의 안전성을 획기적으로 높일 수 있는 나트륨 액체금속의 열전달 특성 연구 및 반응성 억제 연구 등을 진행하고 있다.
