Our group is mainly interested in nanophotonic metamaterials induced by unusual wave dynamic features that evolve during light-matter interactions at the sub-wavelength scale. We are pursuing both experimental verification and theoretical development in areas such as holograms, LiDAR, chiral particles, next-generation displays and ultra-thin flat optics, metaphotonic devices, structural colors for security platforms, high-resolution imaging, negative index materials, tunable metasurfaces, quantum/topological/non-Hermitian photonics, acoustic/elastic metamaterials, advanced nanofabrication and nanomanufacturing, and AI-based nanostructure design methods.
