- Lab.MATERIALS PROCESSING & INTEGRATED BIOSYSTEMS LAB
Our lab is the materials processing and integrated biosystems laboratory. We are engaged in the research of design, manufacturing, and applied mechanics in mechanical engineering. Specifically, we are developing nano-manufacturing technologies for nano-/micro-scale structures with various materials, such as polymers, metals, hydrogels, and for their scalable production.
Specifically, we are developing nano-manufacturing technologies for nano-/micro-scale structures with various materials, such as polymers, metals, hydrogels, and for their scalable production.
For nano-manufacturing technologies, we construct microinjection molding, nanoimprinting, electrospinning, laser processing, and 3d printing. The technologies are being applied to the research field of biomedical engineering and energy harvesting.
MAJOR RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENTS
- Development of polymer nanomanufacturing process based on nano-electroforming of anodic aluminum oxide templates and nano-injection molding
- Development of artificial basement membrane containing organ-on-chip based on electrolyte assisted electrospinning (ELES)
- Development of functional materials for in vivo / in vitro cell culture platform
- Development of energy harvester and self-triggered sensor based on discrete liq - uid-solid contact electrification
