Acoustic Vibration Transducer Lab, we study transducer technology related to vibration and acoustic phenomena. Therefore, studies on deepening and broadening understanding of vibration and acoustic phenomena, as well as studies on electro-mechanical coupling phenomena, which are important for transducer development, are the main research topics. Such research is being conducted through the use of acoustic/vibration phenomena or the development of related devices. Examples of transducers to be developed include traditional acoustic transducers such as loudspeakers, underwater sound generators, microphones, and hydrophones, as well as new-concept acoustic transducers such as ultrasonic speakers and ultrasonic distance sensors, as well as biotechnology using changes in the natural frequency of micro-cantilever beams. A new concept of a material sensor using vibration phenomena such as a material sensor may be mentioned.
