Pohang University of Science and Technology (Thermal Hydraulic & Energy System Lab, THE System lab) is based on understanding the basic phenomena of heat, fluid, and mass transfer, designing and designing heat transfer surfaces and power conversion systems using boiling and condensation. They are actively conducting research on energy cycle design and the like. In order to understand the complex thermal-hydraulic energy transfer phenomena, research is being conducted to equip a tool that can implement or reproduce the phenomenon through experiments and analyze it through mathematical modeling and simulation. Research on these heat and mass transfer characteristics, including phase change, has been applied to various industrial fields such as heat pipes, printed circuit heat exchangers, nuclear and fusion power plant system design and safety evaluation, and recently, based on the fluid mass transfer phenomenon. It is expanding its field to design a biological system and analyze blood vessel flow.
