Our research laboratory investigates innovative engineering concepts and the development and analysis of bio-inspired materials, structures, and mechanical mechanisms (Mechanical Intelligence), with a particular emphasis on their application to robotic design and manufacturing. By leveraging principles observed in biological systems, our research seeks to advance robotic technologies that transcend the conventional limitations of mechanical systems in terms of scale and efficiency, and to propose new robotic design paradigms applicable to microscale robots and wearable robotic devices.
